Transform Neighbourhood Management Group has been successful in receiving funding to pilot health projects in Ilfracombe and the surrounding areas of Combe Martin, Berrynarbor, West Down, Woolacombe and Bratton Fleming.

Funding and in kind support has been received from Leader4, AONB, NHS Devon, Active Devon, North Devon Council and Ilfracombe Town Council.  The Healthy Town Project is a 12 month initiative aimed at raising awareness of health issues, informing and encouraging people to make positive lifestyle choices and increasing the opportunities for the Ilfracombe community to access appropriate health services and healthy activities. The Healthy Town programme will run events throughout the year to inspire residents to live healthier and more active lifestyles. The project is not just about getting everybody super fit it is also about reducing the barriers people face to taking the first steps to improving their health and wellbeing.  Please visit the Healthy Town website at www.ilfracombehealthytown.com for information on all of the events and activities taking place.
